This project envisions Phuket as a Smart City that integrates innovation, sustainable development, and cultural preservation to enhance its status as an international hub. The plan focuses on balanced growth, blending economic development with heritage conservation, while improving living conditions and maintaining the city’s unique charm.Key initiatives include developing a dense CBD in the eastern sector for international conferences and urban housing, while the western sector emphasizes revitalizing the Old Town area to integrate tourism with residential use. Four strategic zones are outlined:
- Urban Historical Development District (UHD): Preserving historical areas.
- Urban Interchange and Commercial Development District (UICD): Enhancing transit and commerce.
- Urban Financial and Investment Development District (UFID): Developing financial hubs.
- Urban Regeneration and Housing Development District (URD): Promoting housing and renewal.
